Winter in Dubai – My second time around

I visited Dubai for the second time in my life. And I am already looking forward to planning the third trip. I must say I enjoyed the experience more this time around.

For you who haven’t been to Dubai, it’s such a special city. I’ve met people who don’t really admire the beauty of Dubai, but to me it is both unbelievable and so interesting to be in a city that is built from the ground in the middle of the dessert. I think that’s fascinating, that a human being created his own land that now has to offer anything and everything you have ever dreamed or wished to see or experience.

One of the most exciting things before I go on a vacation, is the part that requires booking the hotel. I really enjoy it, and the excitement becomes even bigger once I get the chance to pick one of those magical hotels.

This year we decided to stay at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel which was renovated and re-opened on October 19th. This hotel is definitely the place to be and discover a luxury experience.

Jumeirah Beach

I was so happy to be able to spend most of the days in my bikini, because this beautiful beach was my “every morning spot”. This beach is the jewel in Dubai’s crown. The eye-catching white sandy beach and turquoise water made me want to stay forever. Chilling on one of the beach cabanas I could enjoy a full view to the Burj al Arab, the first seven star hotel.

The staff was amazing, immediately guiding you to your desired sun lounge, the highlight was that every day they were serving ice cream and sunglass cleaning service on the beach. A very unoticwable thing to some, but nonetheless very meaningful service, as the little things leave the biggest impression.

Wild Wadi Waterpark

If you are a Jumeirah guest, you know you are lucky because you will get a full, everyday access to the Wild Wadi Waterpark. This park is perfect for anyone who loves water rides and adrenaline! For those like me who prefer to just float around on a floatie, you can spend your day relaxing on the lazy river.

Dubai Mall

This mall is not just a normal, regular mall. It is truly an amazing place, I call it a piece of art. One of the largest malls in Dubai with a lot of shops perfect for your retail therapy.  The saying “shop till you drop” is made for Dubai Mall.

It’s always fun at the mall. The selection of restaurants and food is also insane and you definitely need more than a day to cover it up. I would recommend having a dinner with a view to Burj Khalifa & the dancing fountains that play every 30 minutes with different music in the evenings.

Dubai Marina

Here, you can take long and enjoyable walks with a great view, in which all the yachts, modern skyscrapers, waterfront etc grace the secenery. There’s a big variety of restaurants, so this can be the perfect place to have lunch or dinner. The marina is simply an amazing achievement, designed to impress!

Burj Khalifa

This is one of the places I decided to visit for the second time. Because, why not. You don’t get the chance to enjoy a view from the 124th floor every day. This time we decided to book the prime hours ticket(which is when sunset occurs, with time fluctuating throughout the year).

The views are incredible. Believe me this is an amazing experience. You feel like you’re standing on top of the world. The architecture is breathtaking. The quick ride to the 124th floor is out of this world! I would definitely say that this is a must see and you should only experience it in order to believe.

Dessert Safari

This is the second time I have gone on a desert safari in Dubai. They say you can’t visit Dubai without a trip to the desert. Dune bashing in a landcruiser was the most enjoyable part of the desert safari(driving through the dunes which is similar to a roller coaster ride).IMG_5650

The quad bike ride is a must do, plus it’s a perfect adventure before a lovely dinner in the Arabian style camp, where you can watch belly dancers whilst you dine.

Burj Al Arab

The one and only ‘seven star’ hotel is definitely one of the most magnificent hotels I have seen! If you don’t get the chance to visit the inside of the hotel, then, you can also enjoy the architecture from different spots.

I was enjoying it everyday from my hotel room, from the beach, from the breakfast area. In fact, when you think about it 90 percent of my photos have this building in the background.

Miracle Garden

The miracle garden is the third spot I wanted to visit for a second time. Because I knew that the Dubai Miracle Garden has a specialized theme every year. So I was excited to see the breath taking sculptures they had to offer this year.

At the entrance I was greeted by a huge turtle covered in flowers and further inside more such treats were waiting for me: cats, elephants, ducks, teddy bears, an airplane and Disney characters. You will definitely enjoy being among millions of flowers and roses and you will have to take unforgettable pictures.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

We had a 20-minute Abra ride and I loved it. You will be able to enjoy a sightseeing of the charming architecture of this place. You can see the magnificent view of the Jumeirah hotels: Mina A’Salam, Al Qasr and the most famous hotel Burj Al Arab.

Dubai is a destination that puts together modern culture with history, adventure with world-class shopping and entertainment. Everything is exaggerated in Dubai – from hotels, to shopping centers, to roads, beaches etc.

If you are looking for a vacation spot where you can really empty your head and relax – Dubai is the place.
