Dark Chocolate Matcha Balls

Super delicious Dark Chocolate Matcha Balls.

All you need is: dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coconut oil, coconut flour, honey, vegan or whey protein, almond milk, and matcha powder. I promise you this recipe is so easy and seriously tasty!

First of all, I want to apologize to all my followers and readers that I’m obsessed with matcha lately. I feel like I want to do matcha-everything, and I can’t help myself. I mean why not after all, it’s healthy, and it has the perfect green color that gives the perfect vibe.

That was reason number one, and two, this recipe includes dark chocolate so I thought that you might ignore the green matcha and focus on the yummy dark chocolate, so I figured I was safe in that regard. Dark chocolate lovers, am I right ?

Dark chocolate is my bae. It honestly completes me, and I can always go for a piece of dark chocolate. Especially the one I make myself, so delicious and super healthy.

Okay, I guess now when you know that this recipe involves Mr. Dark Chocolate, it’s safe to start talking about my Dark Chocolate Matcha Balls.

These green babes are so indulgent and flavorful. I maybe ate more than I was allowed to, but I’m sorry not sorry when it comes to making recipes like this on a Friday morning.

For real, I promise, you will be amazed by how good these are. And the most important part, we use simple ingredients!

For sweetness I added a hint of honey just in case the matcha ended up being too strong. Which I won’t mind honestly, as a big matcha fan. You can even miss the honey out from this recipe, because trust me the chocolate you will taste in each bite, will make you understand why we don’t need any sweeteners for this recipe.

1 – 2 Tbsp matcha (green tea powder)

3 tbsp coconut flour

2 scoops of vegan or whey protein powder

1/4 cup almond milk

1 tbsp coconut oil

Chocolate Ganache
2 Tbsp coconut oil

1 Tbsp dark chocolate, chopped

1 Tbsp dark cocoa powder

In a food processor, blend together matcha powder, coconut flour, protein powder, milk and coconut oil until it comes togeher. If the mixture gets sticky, feel free to add more coconut flour.

Then shape the mixture into balls with your finger. Refrigerate until firm.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, warm coconut oil and chocolate until melted. Remove from the heat and whisk in the cocoa powder. While the chocolate ganache is still warm, dip the cold matcha balls in, turning all over until completely covered. Repeat with remaining balls and top with shredded coconut.

Store in the fridge or freezer and enjoy as a breakfast or snack.
